{"id":3885,"date":"2023-07-21T17:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-21T11:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gavel.cmb.ac.lk\/?p=3885"},"modified":"2023-07-21T10:22:59","modified_gmt":"2023-07-21T04:52:59","slug":"born-to-be-a-runner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gavel.cmb.ac.lk\/?p=3885","title":{"rendered":"Born to be a Runner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Books, or the world I saw, real or utopian?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Left me with a question, with that dubious action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Massive or micro, already a puzzle,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was in a quest, huzzle and buzzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opened the eyes in that mystic hole,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With no identity and blank as gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eyes amazed, they asked me for my name,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I have no name&#8221;, replied as I was stuck in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All was new, and the view was new,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later I met &#8220;Newt&#8221; but he was not new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Path was just a view, like a little white dew,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was left alone with this demented crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was it grueling? Arduous or hard?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Didn&#8217;t know the meaning of this demanding yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Round by a wall, without a single call,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Knew that I had to brawl and crawl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Days passed, and the daytime sun mocked,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Said its smirks that I was locked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A door opened, long, but not pearled,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like a way to a mysterious world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staggered, neither figured out nor reported,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silence answered that I should be thwarted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hallucinations, no, it was just presence,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curious but my mind was in absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was it a trick that the door shut itself<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When my soul went in with myself?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were saved, I was traded,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was all a maze, complex and bladed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ran and raced, rushed and darted,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Till the \u201cRight Time\u201d as they said, when I was parted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edified me as a maze-runner,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were oblivious, me as the winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is this the story of &#8220;The Maze Runner&#8221;, that you know?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second-thought matters, as it is a &#8220;No&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" data-id=\"3886\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.gavel.cmb.ac.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/running-feature-image.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3886\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gavel.cmb.ac.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/running-feature-image.webp 1000w, https:\/\/www.gavel.cmb.ac.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/running-feature-image-300x180.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.gavel.cmb.ac.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/running-feature-image-768x461.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Books, or the world I saw, real or utopian?
