One day, out of the blue, I received a message from Nuhaa asking me to do my CC1 speech. Naturally, my first thought was, \u201cWhy me?\u201d But before I could come up with an excuse, I found myself replying, “Yes!\u201d, partly because I didn\u2019t want to say no, and partly because, deep down, I knew it was something I needed to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so, my journey to prepare for the “Ice Breaker” began. The CC1 is known as a \u201csimple introduction,\u201d but the thought of opening up about myself in front of a room full of people? Terrifying. I was nervous, clueless, and honestly, unsure where to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came the hardest part. Preparing the speech turned out to be much more than just writing words on paper. I thought it would be a straightforward introduction, but as I sat down to write, I realized I had to dig a little deeper. I found myself reflecting on all the quirks, stories, and memories that make me, me- <\/em>the good, the awkward, and even the embarrassing. I settled on the theme “Pampered Life” because, let’s face it, my family has always given me more than a little extra love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family, I\u2019ve been spoiled in ways only they could manage. But it\u2019s not all about the gifts and affection. I shared how my family and friends have been my biggest support, always there in their own quirky ways. And naturally, I had to mention my love for shopping and dogs, two passions that keep me sane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the day of the speech got closer, my nerves started kicking in. I kept reminding myself that everyone in the room was there to support me and had once been in my shoes. Just before I walked up to speak, I spotted my best friend in the crowd. Despite her packed schedule, she had come to cheer me on, and seeing her face instantly calmed my nerves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spoke about my pampered life, my shopping adventures, my love for dogs, and my wonderful, supportive (and hilarious) friends and family. The audience was incredible. They laughed, nodded along, and made me feel like I wasn\u2019t alone up there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back, saying “yes” to Nuhaa was one of the best decisions I made. The CC1 wasn\u2019t just about introducing myself to the group, it was about proving something to myself. I realized I could be vulnerable, step out of my comfort zone, share my story, and grow from it. And knowing that I have family, friends, and of course, my dogs, who\u2019ll go out of their way to support me? It makes every nerve-wracking moment worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, I\u2019m actually looking forward to seeing what the next speech will bring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
