The Gavel Club of University of Colombo proudly joined hands with the Rotaract Club of the Faculty of Law to bring the first educational project of the term, LetsTalk – Phase 01: Public Speaking, to life on the 9th of September 2026.
It was the perfect starter guide for a room full of eager first-year law students and Gaveliers, leading them through their very first steps in public speaking. Held at the Faculty of Law premises, the event featured impactful sessions led by our incredible speakers: GV Amnaa Naushad, GV Sai Harini Thayaparan, and GV Yashodha Ramanayaka, fostering confidence among the attendees. Having walked their own journeys through public speaking, leadership, and personal growth, they broke down the fundamentals of effective communication and shared real, relatable tips on overcoming stage fear, creating a safe space for those new to the microphone to explore their skills confidently and facilitating the growth of our undergraduate community! 🎙️✨
