ENLIVEN 2025 marks the much-anticipated fifth edition of Sri Lanka’s premier island-wide
Humorous Speech and Evaluation Competition, proudly presented by the Gavel Club of the
University of Colombo.This dynamic event continues to attract a wide array of participants,
especially in the Humorous Speech category, which celebrates the natural wit and creativity
within each speaker. It offers a vibrant stage to captivate audiences through clever humor,
expressive delivery, and heartfelt storytelling. The Speech Evaluation segment highlights the
art of thoughtful critique, allowing participants to demonstrate keen insight and imaginative
feedback, creating a powerful journey that inspires and empowers thousands.
ENLIVEN 2025 is for the bold, the passionate, and the visionary, those ready to rise like a
phoenix from the crowd, and who believe that their voice deserves to echo across millions.

We will be having 03 rounds namely,
- Preliminary Rounds
- Semi-final Rounds
- Final Rounds
Registration deadline for both Humorous and Evaluation Speech categories is on 18th of May 2025
■ Workshops –
Humorous Speech Category – 17th of May 2025
Evaluation Speech Category – 18th of May 2025
■ Preliminary Rounds –
- Evaluation Speech Category ( Online competition via Zoom platform )
The deadline for the registration of Preliminary Rounds is on 18th of May 2025. The competition will be held on 31st of May 2025 as an online competition via Zoom.
- Humorous Speech Category ( Online – Video submissions )
During the Preliminary Rounds, the contestants are required to submit a 5-7 minutes humorous video via a Google form on or before 18th of May 2025.
■ Semi-final Rounds –
Semi-final Rounds will be held onsite for both categories on 14th of June 2025
■ Final Rounds –
Final Rounds will be held onsite for both categories on 28th of June 2025
