The Gavel Club of University of Colombo is an affiliation of Toastmasters International USA. We started off in end of the year 2014 and was first introduced to the Faculty of Science in order to uplift the standards of the presentation and communication skills of the Undergraduates. The idea was first introduced by Dr. Asoka Ramanayake who is a lecturer at the Department of Statistics.
